1. She talks about her life before the video
2. 2Pac was her brother's friend and they had a cordial conversation
3. He wrote a song about an article about a teen mother and added it to his album he was working on. He wanted to talk about topics that people didn't talk about during that time.
4. She liked the topics he discussed in his songs especially "Trapped"
5. She was 17 and about to be 18 in a couple of months.
6. 2Pac approached her brother and said he wanted her to do the video.
He chose her because she was a real teen mom that he knew could relate to the message
7. She says she's still honored to this day. They treated her "like a star" or "mainstream actress". There wasn't a script so they told her what to act out or pull out of her. The set was very professional and she says they basically "rolled out the red carpet for her". They did her makeup, had lunch, she was exhausted because she pulled out emotions that were not in her.

Sorry.
1. She talks about her life before the video.

2. 2Pac was her brother's friend and they had a cordial conversation

3. He wrote a song about an article about a teen mother and added it to his album he was working on. He wanted to talk about topics that people didn't talk about during that time.

5. She was 17 and about to be 18 in a couple of months.

6. 2Pac approached her brother and said he wanted her to do the video.
He chose her because she was a real teen mom that he knew could relate to the message. She also snuck to performing art centers and did minor things like a video with a group about non-smoking.

7. It took 12 hours to film the video, They filmed in Oakland. She couldn't walk the halls or go anywhere outside without people recognizing her but after a while, it died down.

8. She says she's still honored to this day and still loves the message because it's relevant and she presented his words "in an actress way" that made everyone feel it." There was no drama. They treated her "like a star" or "mainstream actress". There wasn't a script so they told her what to act out or pull out of her. The set was very professional and she says they basically "rolled out the red carpet for her". They did her makeup, had lunch, she was exhausted because she pulled out emotions that were not in her. Her brother would pump her back up. The director would tell her would to do and encourage her. She said he's a "great director".

EDIT: I'm still adding more details.

So that wasn't Lisa Ray?...

That was just a rumor. Lisa Raye was actually older than 2Pac. However, she did appear in his video for Toss It Up.

She did a great job in the video. I still get emotional watching it.

Wow! I've always wondered about that video and how the song came to be. Teen pregnancy is such a taboo subject to this day

where I'm at it's glorified for "others"

you just messy...she does favor Lisa though.

Good for her. She overcame the name Ethel and teen pregnancy...and scored an opportunity that made her feel like star. Big Ups!

Im sure being named Ethel is why she became a teen parent.
