Custom build (Batman vs Superman) Dual PC desk "MEGA-Desk"

    Hi everybody.

Man, it'southward been a long time since i posted a full pc build. I hope y'all guys like this crazy project.

    WHAT am i building?
I decided to build a PC desk. My concluding PC's where custom Mountain mod's and Danger Den'south. So watercool heaven inside the case.
I similar big cases and many screens

I wanted to practice something unlike similar a pc desk-bound. Simply it had to be something 'special' / a real eye catcher. Afterward looking for hours
around the internet for inspiration from other pc desk builders... i was strucked! There are so many INSANE and cute
pc desks in the world... No style i could beat those designs. + I have a large desk for my big danger den case and i also practice electronics work/
soldering etc. I didnt liked the idea having a great fancy PC desk. And the table adjacent to it volition be 'normal'.

So i dropped the thought a few months.

.....Untill i saw this! Its the 'desk' from Batman in the moving-picture show: Batman vs Superman.

I just loved the blueprint! It'south large / information technology has side tables / i am pretty sure its i of a kind / How much ROOM would yous accept for PC systems.
Merely man...thats a large tabular array! Tin can i pull if off? I do a lot of customizing on PC'south and cars. But this was something else.

However, i am a Light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation operator. So i design and lasercut stuff like acrylic and i tin also curve it. So the 'vent' design on the table
should be possible. Wat actually pulled me over the line... The table is suspended from the ceiling. I thought spiral it. I am gonna start edifice it!!

    >>>
I will show y'all guys the building progress of this INSANE project. I luv to hear you guys comments! Hate Information technology? / LUV Information technology? / INSANITY? > Aye.

    Too exist continued.....today.

So...Kickoff i started designing the table with Laserworks just by looking at different screenshots.

Click image for larger version.     Name:	design.jpg   Views:	2   Size:	413.0 KB   ID:	85884

From scenes where ben affleck has his hands on the tabular array / guessing LCD screen sizes and what was a groovy aid was the
keyboard on the table. I searched the dimensions of that ergonomic membrane keyboard and used that to approximate how broad
    the tabular array was.

Click image for larger version.     Name:	009779.jpg   Views:	1   Size:	572.5 KB   ID:	85885

I have no idea how much drawing fourth dimension went into information technology...But it was ALOT. The farther i came forth, the more important construction
was becoming to get. I did grand's edits over the months!

When i was finished designing....i totaly forgot the measure my room! Turns out, the table was about 6 meters to my best guess.
My room is but 4.65 meters..LOL. That was a problem. Instead just adjusting the ratio / would await very wrong.
I started taking out sections out the design without drasticly give the wait that its 'smaller'.

Doing that, i was able to bring it back to 4.five meters. Whooohoo.....x cm of mega space.

Before i went FULL calibration... i decided to make a scale model first to get a idea what kind of problems i would run into.

This is made from acrylic and gave a great view on angles.

From this bespeak on....since i also work with KITT and BTTF replicas, i e'er like to replicate as skillful as possible. Since
the desk is not a perfect replica anymore (since its 1,5 meters shorter).. I decided i wanna do something more then but
copying it. So i decided to give the table more PC elements. Since i luv ROG......its the eyes man..... i went with
a ROG theme. Likewise cutting stuff with lasers, i can likewise engrave. So i did a few tests with the ROG logo:

Click image for larger version.     Name:	20200429_223022.jpg   Views:	0   Size:	156.6 KB   ID:	85888

What do you think? I think that looks pretty freaking good!

Now earlier doing the desk...i wanted to practise the control panels in the mid-section console first because they where easy to build.

Specially the switchconsole will be intergrated into the table for different controls. I besides gave it some special effects to continue y'all entertaint
    being 'batman'

Now that i had finished those panels, i started to get some more inspiration. Here a few Hardware leaks:
It volition get ii ROG mobos / SLI gtx1080 for environs gaming / 1x GTX1070 for VR. 2x watercooling loops / 2x pumps.
360 + 480 RAD > On both sides. Rest will follow.

Also, if i am going to do this, i wanted some cool features. Like the tabular array will exist suspended from the ceiling. But you lot will be able
to change the pinnacle electronicly. ALL the vents on the table? Will have RGBW! The side tables take 2 big openings designed
within the vents...there you lot will see the Mobo's and graphic cards. Maby also reservoir..not sure withal.
And to peak it off....i am designing the left and right console to 'rise' when going into game mode / revealing all the vents hidden
    underneath the consoles.

LETS SEE...what else do i want??!! I want functional monitors similar in the moving-picture show in the consoles....and, and VU spectrum displays left and correct!
    ...o.k, o.g..o.m...calm downward...

So....TIME TO Store FOR MDF forest and SLAP that sh*t on the laser....and lets come across where it go'due south!

Then the moment i saw how 'Large' this tabular array actually is going to get, i just could think of one thing:

Dwight schrute from the part. The episode where he had: MEGA-DESK. I plant it very plumbing fixtures for my Project.

    My logo idea for MEGA-DESK

Click image for larger version.     Name:	20200806_121141.jpg   Views:	1   Size:	169.5 KB   ID:	85906

During the laser process, i noticed the weight build on of the parts. Luckly i take MANY VENTS. Now i have to admit, i did underestimated
the project a fleck now that it was growing in size and construction became a huge deal. The moment a build gets heavy, it gets more expensive

Only i was determined to continue and kept on designing.

Click image for larger version.     Name:	20200724_231548.jpg   Views:	0   Size:	207.7 KB   ID:	85908

Here the 2 parts are glued together and i am making extra cuts to lay in the RGB strips. Alot....ALOT of RGB strips.

A heavy tabular array needs a potent frame. The concluding actuators will be 4x 200mm. Will give me about 150mm of height play.

Click image for larger version.     Name:	20200802_165021.jpg   Views:	0   Size:	348.1 KB   ID:	85924

Its no option for the table hanging in one spot incase of repair or modding. So i am planning a sliding 'rail' system with custom fabricated steel plates. Each plate carry's 8 bearings and will hold 2 steel cables

Click image for larger version.     Name:	20200806_175407.jpg   Views:	0   Size:	205.2 KB   ID:	85926

So now you can slide the table away from the wall.

Is that a control console salvaged from another device?

You lot mean the far left console on the panel? No. All panels are custom designd and build.

The devices i use 'within' / or behind the panels are existing devices.....similar the console on the left, those are
a Lab-power supply and soldering station. I exercise alot soldering an electrics stuff on the side tables,
so i need functional stuff haha. And then this table volition be for the large part fully functional. Simply few
turning dail buttons are fake. But all have functional potentiometers backside them. So you can always add
new features to the table in the future.

Only the control panels are all custom

Yeah, I noticed the rework & solder labels so I wondered if that was a transplant or original cosmos.
